As part of the Janáček Workshop, a lecture by the prominent dancer and teacher František Dofek will be held on the topic of “Lašské dances and their transformation in Janáček’s works”

About the event
Participants in the Janáček Workshop – young pianists will present works for four-hand, six-hand and eight-hand piano, with a predominance of compositions from Leoš Janáček to the present day. The Janáček Workshop will include a lecture by the prominent dancer and teacher František Dofek on the topic of “Lašské dances and their transformation in Janáček’s work”.
ICL Brno is a co-organizer of the Four Encounters with Music Festival, which will take place as part of the Piano Courses Brno, subtitled "Holiday Play-Off".
The festival is taking place for the tenth time, and since we are celebrating the Year of Czech Music in 2024, the festival will focus on works by Czech authors, both solo and chamber, from Baroque to contemporary music. All festival concerts and lectures will take place in the Leoš Janáček Concert Hall, Lužánecká 14.
