Four Encounters with Music 2026

August 23–29, 2026 | Leoš Janáček Concert Hall, Brno

Traditionally, Intercultural Creative Life zs participates in the organization of the Four Encounters with Music festival, which is part of the Piano Courses Brno – Holiday Play-Off . The festival annually brings a concert program that complements the intensive week of teaching and offers the opportunity to encounter music outside of classrooms and piano halls.

This year's edition will take place from August 23 to 29, 2026 in the Leoš Janáček Concert Hall and will offer a total of four concerts . Soloists, teachers and course participants will be introduced, who will have the opportunity during the week not only to improve their performance skills, but also to perform in front of an audience.

The festival program will also include the Janáček Workshop , where course participants will learn about Leoš Janáček's work through music. The program will be complemented by another concert meeting and the final performance of the participants of the Brno Piano Courses.

An accompanying program is also prepared for course participants. They can expect a coding and cognitive game called In the Footsteps of the Cunning Fox and a lecture by Prof. Alena Vlasáková entitled Healthy Piano Technique , which will focus on an important part of long-term and healthy piano development.

The Four Music Encounters Festival thus naturally combines education, concert experience, music discovery, and social gatherings. We are pleased to be a part of this traditional week full of music, inspiration, and new encounters.

Admission to all concerts is voluntary.
